Paul Sheard, winner of this year's MaX5 Championship (one of the UK's most fiercely contested single make racing championships), is running Joachim Riter in his race team for 2008. The MAX5 championship regularly produces different race winners due to the extremely close racing. Joachim was keen to be part of this championship due to the challenges it offers and to hone his race craft. He admits that it is a very tough series due to everybody driving a single make car and the high number of very capable series' regulars who know all the tricks.

Paul commented, “Joachim called us about hiring a car for a test day at Brands. He was fast straightaway and we got on well! I invited him up for the last race of the year at Snetterton. He did very well in testing and in qualifying he managed to be a few tenths of the front row, without a tow and in a car that was in much need of some TLC! We look forward to helping Joachim in the MaX5 championship next year!”
