Joachim drives the Metropol Security BMW M3 for AFM racing in the National BMW KUMHO championship. This car has been specially prepared by Rick Kerry and his team to be a serious challenger in this year's championship.

Rick Kerry says of Joachim Ritter, “We had been toying with the idea of helping someone in the BMW Kumho championship with a view of maybe feeding them in to BTTC, as part of a two man team. I know Eugene O'Brien well and he is a very good judge of driver capabilities and talent. After a chat with him we decided that although Joachim only has two races behind him, he has shown natural pace and good potential for development. We are busy building his car and with our experience in the series it will be fast and we are sure Joachim will be a contender!”
